Read the Bible in 2016

Each day it's important to start life with something of significance. Scripture written thousands of years ago can still impact your life. We must read with understanding, but also with emotion. We have to react to the story the way the author intended. We need to think about the context, both literary and historical cultural. Read a translation that's understandable to you, but compare to other more literal translations. Most of all, read to hear from God with a heart to put it into action. You will have an encounter with the God of the Bible as you read the Bible of our God.
