Thanks for praying for us as we wound up things at home in Sequim, WA and headed for Mexico. We arrived in Zamora last week after 3,500 + miles of safe travel. Immediately some brothers helped us bring some furniture from our house in Paracho and get set up in our new home in Zamora. We had a meeting of the staff for the new Bible School, were warmly welcomed by the host church, Comunidad Cristiana Zamora, and pastor David Rice and family, and pulled together a Monday Inauguration meeting to receive the students with their pastors and families. Seven students signed up for our first course of studies, with more coming next week. We started classes in Worship, Exegesis, and Old Testament Survey with local pastors and myself teaching. Work and ministry schedules are set up for the students when not in the 5 hours of class time a day, Tuesday through Friday. I already read through all the students’ applications, with their pastors’ letters of recommendation. I’m excited about the quality of dedicated, servant hearted workers God has sent us for this first class. All are already helping out in their own churches, where they will be missed! Anita has set up a nice home for us already, with a working kitchen (and great meals for the family), and a warm, attractive place to have the young men from the Bible School over for dinner one night. She also got Lydia and Mimi going on homeschooling this week, as if moving to another country and culture weren’t enough of an education for the week! She even got cable internet contracted and hooked up! Again, thanks for praying. We’ll get an update with pictures to you all soon.
